PGD Exoskeleton Stab-Proof Vest (Black)

The PGD Exoskeleton Stab-Proof Vest (Black) is a premium stab- and spike-resistant vest designed for high-risk environments where edged and pointed threats are realistic—and where blunt-force impacts (batons, strikes, kicks) may also occur. Unlike traditional aramid-based stab vests, this model uses a segmented aluminium “exoskeleton” system engineered for extremely high resistance to penetration while still allowing natural torso movement.

With its thin profile, it’s suitable for concealed wear under clothing, while remaining practical for long shifts where comfort matters.

Exoskeleton build: segmented aluminium with flexible joints

The protection is formed by many pre-shaped aluminium pieces linked together with flexible joints. This design aims to:

• spread impact energy across multiple segments
• move with the body during bending and twisting
• resist concentrated point loads typical of knife or spike attacks

Certified protection: NIJ 0115.00 Level 3 (65 joules)

Tested to NIJ 0115.00 Level 3 at 65 joules against:

• P1
• Spike

PGD states this is similar to HOSDB KR3 + SP3.

Designed to help with blunt-force impacts

Beyond penetration resistance, the segmented structure is intended to reduce peak force from blunt impacts by distributing energy—useful in scenarios involving batons, punches, or kicks.

Thin and relatively lightweight

PGD lists the design as approximately 2 mm thin and up to 50% lighter than comparable stab vests, which helps for extended daily wear.

Concealable textile carrier with spacer mesh

Supplied with a concealable carrier featuring spacer mesh to improve ventilation, stability, and comfort.
