Tatonka Norix 27 – 27L hiking backpack for mountain tours and via ferrata

The Tatonka Norix 27 is a technical 27-litre hiking backpack built for demanding mountain hikes and via ferrata routes where stability and load control matter. Its close-to-the-back Vent Comfort Carrying System keeps the pack steady while scrambling. Back padding with a ventilation channel and air-permeable AirMesh cover helps maintain airflow during high-output climbs.

Smart storage with stretchy pockets and external attachment options

You get 27 L in the main compartment plus extra space in the stretchy front pocket, stretchy side pockets and the lid compartment. On the outside, material loops on the front, an elastic zigzag lacing on the lid and bottom fixation straps offer versatile attachment options for extra gear.

Full back-panel access to the main compartment

A key feature is the all-round zipper on the back, allowing you to open the pack wide for easy access to packed gear—without placing the carrying system on wet ground or snow (especially useful on winter tours).

Via ferrata features: gear loops and removable hip belt

Large gear loops on the shoulder strap and hip belt let you clip via ferrata set carabiners for quick handling when moving unprotected sections. The padded hip belt is detachable for better compatibility with a climbing harness. A special hip belt construction allows one-handed adjustment.

Weather protection: rain cover, PU coating and PFAS-free DWR

The integrated rain cover is stored in the bottom compartment. The fabrics are PU-coated for water resistance and finished with a PFC/PFAS-free DWR treatment.
